Dear Robert:

Thank you for sharing The Ice Cream Man with us, but also for sharing this story with the
world. CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center fully supports your efforts
to shed light on this story of resistance and strength. This project is incredibly important
to Holocaust education.

All Hoosiers should be very honored to have a portion of the movie filmed in Columbus,
Indiana. As Indiana’s only Holocaust Museum, we hope this helps Hoosiers connect to
this story and understand the important lessons that we all can learn from this terrible
period of history. We look forward to sharing the film with our patrons and supporters.
The film tells a story of love, community, and bravery in the face of the inhumanity and
terror of the Holocaust. Our founder, Eva Kor shared her story to help spread seeds of
peace. Her message is one of hope and love, and the story of The Ice Cream Man will
become an important tool for us as well as Holocaust Museums and Education Centers
around the world.

If there is anything CANDLES can do to help support your project, please do not
hesitate to contact us. We look forward to screening the film at the museum once it is
complete.

Sincerely,
Troy Fears
Executive Director
